What is everyone's take on alcohol and IBD? Do you find that wine or beer, for example, are softer on the gut than hard liquor? Or perhaps the reverse?
After my Jpouch alcohol was real hit or miss, meaning that when I would drink I would either feel nothing or I would be very drunk after a few drinks. It was weird for a while.
But now things have settled down. I typically go for more sugary drinks because that's my preference. I drink a lot of cider and wine and now I don't really see any specific impact from those choices. Just the normal stuff for my peers.

Alcohol was iffy for me for a long time. I found that cider and clear alcohol (like vodka) in mixed drinks worked the best for me.
